摘要: Abstract Continuous and discrete event simulations are often applied to study the behavior of systems with continuous flow, respectively. However, in real-life scenarios, both flows can be observed within same system. In such cases, discretization a flow system allow modeling using simulation (DES) techniques. This paper presents development scenarios model main transport at an underground longwall coal mine Eastern US DES. The goal is evaluate impact different stockpiling strategies determine capability meet long-term performance targets. Strategies address bottlenecks meeting targets evaluated identify most effective alternative.
