摘要: Coastal environments are an important component of the global carbon cycle, and probably more vulnerable than open ocean to anthropogenic forcings. Due strong spatial heterogeneity temporal variability, flows in coastal poorly constrained. Hence, integrated, international, interdisciplinary program ship-based hydrography, Voluntary Observing Ship (VOS) lines, time-series moorings, floats, gliders, autonomous surface vessels with sensors for pCO2 ancillary variables recommended better understand present day cycle dynamics, quantify air-sea CO2 fluxes, determine future long-term trends response change forcings (changes river inputs, hydrological circulation, sea-ice retreat, expanding oxygen minimum zones, acidification, ?) oceans. Integration at international level is also required data archiving, management, synthesis that will require multi-scale approaches including development biogeochemical models use remotely sensed parameters. The total cost these observational efforts estimated about 50 million US dollars per year.
