摘要: Travel distances in gravel-bed rivers of tagged particles various sizes are related to excess stream power estimated for peak discharge. Mean distance movement, irrespective grain size, is weakly correlated with power, especially near the threshold movement. There may be several reasons weak correlation, including variable effects bed structure, varying magnitudes sediment mobilizing events and sampling problems. Grain size itself marginal significance. The virtual rate travel calculated using total time which flow larger than that needed initiate clast movement also bears a relation over period. Better results obtained by relating first event only. This implies initial seeding dominates observations. Nonetheless, an underlying general indicated data, derived from wide range regime types.
