摘要: During the study of hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria in oil-contaminated soil Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, South Korea, a light-grey-pigmented, Gram-staining-negative, aerobic, non-motile and rod-shaped bacterium, designated strain D39T, was isolated. This non-sporulating, catalase-negative oxidase-positive. It able to grow at 12–42 °C, pH 5.5–8.5 with 0–1 % (w/v) NaCl. characterized taxonomically by polyphasic approach. Based on results 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, D39T belongs genus Novosphingobium and is closely related ‘ Novosphingobium ginsenosidimutans' FW-6 (97.30 % similarity), Novosphingobium mathurense SM117T (97.17 % similarity) Novosphingobium aquiterrae E-II-3T (97.01 % similarity). The only respiratory quinone ubiquinone-10 major polyamine spermidine. polar lipid profile revealed presence phosphatidylglycerol, diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylcholine, sphingoglycolipid phosphatidyl-N-methylethanolamine. predominant fatty acids were summed feature 8 (C18 : 1ω7c and/or C18 : 1ω6c), 3 (C16 : 1ω7c C16 : 1ω6c), C17 : 1ω6c C14 : 0 2-OH. genomic DNA G+C content this novel 66.7 mol%. DNA–DNA relatedness between ‘N. ginsenosidimutans' KACC 16615, N. mathurense KACC 14598T, aquiterrae KACC 17599T kunmingense DSM 25975T 33.7 %, 29.0 %, 22.3 % 18.3 %, respectively. morphological, physiological, chemotaxonomic phylogenetic analyses clearly distinguished from its closest neighbours. Thus, represents species Novosphingobium , for which name naphthae sp. nov. proposed. type (=KEMB 9005-346T=KACC 18593T=JCM 31158T).
