Satellite observations of electron content at the magnetic equator

摘要: Observations of 54-Mc signals from Transit 4A were made on the magnetic equator near Huancayo, Peru, beginning in September 1960. The weighted mean for range integration was 400 km, and height 1000 km. Average results two quiet-day observations are presented may be compared with mid-latitude values same time. Rotation angle dependence upon magnetic-field geometry is illustrated. (L.N.N.)
