摘要: Knowledge about snow mechanics and avalanche formation forms the basis of any hazard mitigation measures. The crucial point is stability. most relevant mechanical properties - compressive, tensile shear strength individual layers within cover vary substantially in space time. Among other things depends strongly on state stress strain rate. evaluation stability hence a difficult task involving many extrapolations.
