摘要: Abstract Self-consolidating concrete (SCC) is known for its excellent deformability, high resistance to segregation and use without applying vibration in congested reinforced structures characterized by difficult casting conditions. The of viscosity modifying admixtures (VMA) has proved very effective stabilizing the rheology SCC. Commercial VMAs currently available on market are costly, which increases cost such a concrete. This article presents suitability four different types new polysaccharide-based VMA development A preliminary investigation was carried out rheological properties setting times mortar mixes with various dosages study influence VMAs. more detailed then SCC fresh hardened as slump flow, segregation, bleeding, flow time, time compressive strength an identified VMA. performance mixtures compared using commercial designated “COM” mixture Welan gum. encouraging confirms production satisfactory acceptable comparable or even better than that made suggested mix 0.05% Type satisfies requirement will require 7% less dosage required mixture. also cost-effective.
