摘要: In Germany new legal regulations resulted in extended developments and applications of ordered vocabularies medicine such as the ICD. Quality, efficiency transparency medical services all health care providers should be improved e.g. by transmission yearly 16 million discharge summaries nearly hospitals including ICD coded diagnoses ICPM surgical procedures to sickfunds. The International Classification Diseases (ICD) Procedures Medicine (ICPM) are monohierarchical conceptual classifications include disjunctive extensional with about 7000 canonical 20 000 lexical variant terms (ICD-9). They were developed out practice many inconsistencies unsystematic structures. Conceptual or systematized nomenclatures cover: completeness domain, disjunction classes non-redundancy, linkage synonyms, precision definition resolution homonyms well consistency views. this sense multidimensional Systematized Nomenclature (SNOMED) is systematically better constructed than but because its complexity not accepted clinical users for manual coding. These several other controlled vocabularies, especially extensively applied Medical Subject Headings MeSH scientific literature retrieval, linked together building highly differentiated semantical nets large meta- thesaurus US-american project UMLS construction KL-ONE like description logics European GALEN project.
