摘要: Abstract This paper studies changes in people’s travel mode use from one year to the next. It is informed by three distinct discourses: behaviour change, mobility biographies approach, and cohort analysis. The data used German Mobility Panel (GMP) 1994–2008 which households their members are asked times subsequent years report trips they made over a week. reported regressed key events life course, effects period effects, while various sociodemographic spatial attributes controlled. Due non-independent nature of panel observations, cluster-robust regression approach used. findings suggest that behind aggregate stability time there much change ‘under surface’, induced course changes, individual household sociodemographic, context. found related favour notion biographies. However, taken all seem be relatively loosely associated with changes. Nonetheless, significant baseline variables may even absence event.
