Flying small target detection in IR images based on adaptive toggle operator

摘要: Automatic detection and tracking of a small target in infrared (IR) images are great importance. Toggle operator (TO) is the newest class non-linear morphology that has been widely used IR images. The most important problem improving efficiency TO to use structural elements (SEs) accordance with signal-to-clutter ratio (SCR) each image. Generally, clutters targets different case image; therefore, for SCRs, using SEs fixed pixels dimensions cannot lead successful detection. In this study, new method presented based on genetic algorithm achieve adaptive SE method, by designing characteristics image, large amount background clutter noise suppressed contrast between increased. results set real including moving show proposed effective greatly increased while maintaining low false alarm rate.
