摘要: Background: General practitioners play a vital role in the prevention of alcohol related morbidity and mortality. The earlier an problem is diagnosed, better treatment outcome. Objective: This article aims to provide GPs with practical guidelines on assessment management patients hazardous use dependence. Discussion: There good evidence that early brief intervention by GP most effective reducing consumption or harmful drinking. In dependence, pharmacotherapies such as naltrexone acamprosate, conjunction comprehensive rehabilitation program, are beneficial proportion patients. (author abstract)
