摘要: Polyacrylamide (Aam)-cotton graft copolymers having 9, 14.5, and 20% were synthesized using ferrous cellulose thiocarbonate-hydrogen peroxide redox system. These as well ungrafted initiator-treated cottons subjected to acid treatments (0.5 N HCl) at 40°, 60°, 80°C for 15-90 minutes. Hydrolytic susceptibility of the five substrates was assessed by monitoring carboxylic groups, copper, number, nitrogen content (in case copolymers), tensile strength. Results obtained concluded that exhibit higher resistance hydrolysis than cottons. This explained in terms involvement CONH2 groups an interaction with HCl.
