摘要: A novel configuration of achromatic quarter-wave plate using two twisted nematic liquid crystal (TNLC) cells is presented. The 4 × Mueller matrix used to describe the optical properties cells. universal tabu (Utabu) search method for optimizing structural parameters. Simulation results indicate that designed structure capable turning a linearly polarized light into perfectly circularly and vice versa in wavelength range 1200–1650 nm. manufacturing tolerances cell gap, angle, etc. are good.
