摘要: Three topics are covered in this chapter: powder characterization, dispersion, and modeling of attrition dispersion. In the characterization section, surface properties, results transport under influence attraction forces, effects additives temperature, mechanical properties presented. Four sorbents characterized—calcite, dolomite, hydrated lime dolomitic hydrate. Calcite dolomite have comparable median particle sizes has a wider size distribution than calcite. The hydrates composed fine particles. All similar morphology. It is found that van der Waals force dominant, compared to electrostatic gravitational agglomeration. Powder dispersion experiments show with lower average forces greater dispersibility. Temperature an effect on powders. hydrate can be modified by additives, such as lignosulfanate. SEM agglomerate smaller pure less cohesive. Experimental indicate more agglomeration and/or loss fines at high temperatures for hydrates.
