摘要: Abstract The nature and concentration of quaternary ammonium compounds in 7 plants representing a spectrum salt sensitivities under unstressed NaCl-stressed conditions has been studied. basal betaine levels their elevation stress suggest correlation with the resistance plants. shoot Rhodes grass at four different showed an approximately linear response to stress. choline all species were relatively constant not correlated resistance. As previously reported, proline large increases glycophytes but was somewhat that betaine. possible role is discussed.
