摘要: An ophthalmic surgical procedure wherein the anterior or posterior chamber of eye is filled with viscoelastic space-filling and ocular tissue protective material, improvement comprising utilization therein a composition particularly adapted for use as an material in consisting aqueous solution containing from about 1.5% to 25%, by weight, physiologically acceptable, water-soluble polyvinylpyrrolidone polymer copolymer, having molecular weight greater than 500,000, said viscosity 5,000 centipoises, measured at 25° C. using Brookfield viscometer.
