摘要: An ultra-fine grained microstructure was obtained in high purity nickel by a combination of (a) equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) and (b) hydrostatic extrusion (HE) with cumulative true strain ~11.2. The resulting examined light TEM microscopy. Mechanical properties have been measured tensile hardness tests. It found that HE ECAP-ed samples leads to significant grain size refinement (from 330 160nm) an increase microstructural homogeneity. SPD nickel, made the ECAP methods, has strength ductility (i.e.: YS=1120MPa ef = 11%). transformation accompanied 78% compared alone. results fit well Hall-Petch relationship. A achieved much better than either single process show it be promising procedure for manufacturing bulk UFG nickel.
