High-resolution heat-capacity study of 4 He adsorbed on bare copper

摘要: Detailed heat-capacity measurements have been made over the rangex=0.03–1.15 monolayers and temperature rangeT=1–10 K. A small, on-line computer acquired reduced data in a very reproducible manner. Vapor-pressure indicate that substrate is strongly heterogeneous. The heat capacity, while qualitatively similar to previous on Ar-plated copper, best explained by model based extreme surface heterogeneity.
