摘要: Flexible and semi-rigid heat-shrinkable tubes (HSTs) have been used in thousands of applications, here rigid high temperature HSTs are reported for the first time. These prepared with shape memory polyimides possessing glass transition temperatures (Tgs) from 182 to 295 °C, relationships between Tg their molecular structures studied. The polyimide (PIHSTs) can fix expanded diameters shrink back original very well, mechanisms heat-shrinkage performance discussed. Their differences commercially available also analyzed. They withstand low -196 °C, much lower than those other HSTs. PIHSTs connect subjects different sizes by then them upon cooling like reducer couplings, possible coupling effect With unique characteristics, will expand application areas enormously.
