摘要: Summary Objective C–C chemokine receptor type 5 (CCR5) has been implicated in rheumatoid arthritis and several inflammatory diseases, where its blockade resulted reduced joint destruction. However, role modulating cartilage bone changes post-traumatic osteoarthritis (OA) not yet investigated. In this study, we investigated articular cartilage, synovium a OA model using CCR5-deficient (CCR5 −/− ) mice. Method Destabilization of the medial meniscus (DMM) was performed on right knee 10-week old CCR5 C57BL/6J wild-type (WT) mice to induce OA. The contralateral left served as sham-operated control. Knee joints were analyzed at 4-, 8- 12-weeks after surgery evaluate degeneration synovitis by histology, via micro-CT. Results Our findings showed that exhibited significantly less than WT post-surgery. some altered parameters 18- 22-weeks age, but body size weight affected. effect CCR5-ablation insignificant all time points post-surgery for such volume/total volume, connectivity density index (CDI), structure (SMI), subchondral plate thickness, trabecular number, thickness spacing. Conclusion These suggest developed degeneration, which may indicate potential protective homeostasis. There no differences or synovial response suggesting functions primarily during development
