Quit Smoking Experts' Opinions toward Quality and Results of Quit Smoking Methods Provided in Tobacco Cessation Services Centers in Iran.

摘要: Background: One of the core responsibilities health system is to treat tobacco dependence. This treatment includes different methods such as simple medical consultation, medication, and telephone counseling. To assess physicians’ opinions towards quality result quit smoking provided in cessation services centers Iran. Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, random sampling all at country level was used obtain a representative sample size 100 physicians. Physicians completed self-administered questionnaire which contained 10 questions regarding quality, cost, effect, side effects, results quitting using 5-point Likert-type scale. Percentages, frequencies, mean, T-test, variance analyses were computed for study variables. Results: Most experts preferred use combination then Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) with 26 23, respectively. The least line some without medication 3 cases. method gained maximum scores acupuncture, Willpower, Champix, combined method, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) mean 23.3, 22.5, 22, 21.7 21.3, minimum related e-cigarette, nonNRT 12.3, 15.8 16.2, There no significant differences based on cities (P = 0.256). Analysis showed means ( P < 0.000). Conclusions: According physicians personal Champix are most effective these could be much more feasible cost than other methods.
