摘要: Recent years have seen a tremendous growth in the volume of video traffic mobile settings. In this paper, we present design video-centric proxy cache, named iProxy, that offers improved performance terms both hit rates and streaming quality. Our thesis designing iProxy is need to elevate traditional view caching from "data" "information" order optimally meet stringent requirements relies on recent advances information-bound references (IBRs) collapse multiple related cache entries into single one, improving hitrate while lowering storage costs. incorporates novel dynamic linear rate adaptation scheme ensure high stream quality face channel diversity device heterogeneity. evaluation using realistic traces shows it can improve hitrate, but use information-aware replacement policies for optimal performance. We show our encoder adapt well changes bandwidth, yield better bit rates, lower buffering start up delays than state-of-the-art schemes.
