摘要: Objective To investigate the possible negative psychological impact of screening for prostate Cancer with special focus on false positive and true test results. Subjects methods As part an early detection study psycho-physiological reactions to various phases diagnostic procedures were examined in 2400 randomly selected men divided into groups. In a stratified sample population (100 men) made time examination again 2 weeks later. patients undergoing biopsy (307 after screening, but before they informed results, 4 16 screening. Results Serum levels higher than corresponding comparable Swedish during normal daily activity, indicating that invitation per se might create stress. Two elevated had decreased normal.
