摘要: Transmission electron microscopy studies have been used to argue that magnetite crystals in carbonate from Martian meteorite ALH84001 a composition and morphology indistinguishable of magnetotactic bacteria. It has even claimed scanning imaging some are aligned chains. Alignment magnetosomes chains is perhaps the most distinctive six crystallographic properties thought be collectively unique magnetofossils. Here we use three rock magnetic techniques, low-temperature cycling, Moskowitz test, ferromagnetic resonance, sense bulk crystallography millions crystals.
