摘要: The Indian population may be divided into two main divisions, tribal and non-tribal. About 450 tribes subtribes, constituting about 7% of the total are distributed in five regions, namely, Northeast, sub-Himalayan region North Northwest, eastern central, western, southern India (Roy Burman, 1972). Morphologically, tribals different from nontribal populations stature cephalic, nasal, facial indexes. central short stature, have curly hair, dark pigmentation, dolichocephalic, broad depressed noses when compared to (Malhotra, 1978). Anthropometric measurements western show that they much common racially and, as a group, differ neighboring more than each other (Shah, 1962). Differences fingerprint patterns between found one state India. Nontribal samples with high frequencies loops relatively low whorls markedly most (Basu, 1980).
