摘要: In this review, we critically discuss the objectives, methods and limitations of different approaches for validation diagnostic tests. We show (based on published data our own experiences) that estimates sensitivity specificity may vary among populations and/or subpopulations animals, conditional distribution influential covariates. Additional variability in those parameter be attributable to sampling strategy. The uncertainty about parameters is concern decision-maker context clinical diagnosis or quantitative risk assessment as well epidemiologist who uses test prevalence estimation risk-factor studies. Examples calculation are presented together with bias-avoidance strategies. suggest guidelines an epidemiologic approach veterinary
