摘要: S wave phase shifts in pion nucleon scattering are calculated a non-relativistic approximation of thePS (PS) theory with cut-off at the mass. The variational procedure proposed byCini andFubini is applied; charge renormalization performed manner similar to that used byDeser, Thirring andGoldberger. For energy sufficiently high, found have correct sign and qualitative dependence; however, magnitudes much too large.
