摘要: The management of Meniere's disease often provides a formidable clinical challenge largely because its precise aetiology is unknown. There no known 'cure' once the condition established, but drugs may be helpful in treating both acute attacks vertigo, and more long-term management, particularly earlier fluctuant stage. These remedies are symptomatic there few if any properly controlled studies their efficacy. Suppressant act centrally at neurotransmitter sites, or peripherally on labyrinth. Conventional diuretics osmotically acting agents have been given to reduce endolymph fluid volume. Histamine analogues directly inner ear pressure mainly by increasing cochlear blood flow, probably treatment choice. Otovestibulotoxic systemically cause chemical labyrinthine ablation frequently effective abolishing vertigo resulted disabling oscillopsia ataxia. now evidence that local administration intratympanic injection well efficacious resulting selective partial end organ ablation. To date innovative immune modifying regimes not proved helpful.
