摘要: A new strain of wound tumor virus (WTV) has been isolated form a periwinkle plant (Catharanthus roseus)_that was among several used as bait plants in blueberry field. The 12 segments double-stranded RNA the viral genome were directly from infected tissue and found to have mobilities through agarose gels that identical those type WTV. Coupled complementary DNA (cDNA) polymerase chain reactions (PCR) primed with oligonucleotides termini 4–12 WTV successfully amplified segments. Amplification products 9 size expected for full-length segment, no shorter than representing defective RNAs detected. PCR 7, 11, cloned sequenced their entirety. sequence each segment varied only slightly homologous strain. Variation ranged less 1 % approximately 3% but even these low levels variation much greater isolates maintained laboratory. Most three confined coding regions, most differences third position transitions. designated WTVNJ.
