摘要: This study describes the first molecular characterization of a bacteriophage infecting member environmentally important Sphingomonadaceae family. Both Lacusarx and its host Sphingobium sp. IP1 were isolated from activated sludge wastewater treatment plant. Genome sequencing revealed that phage genes display little similarity to other known phages, despite remarkable conservation synteny in which functional occur among distantly related phages. Phylogenetic analyses confirmed represents hitherto undescribed genus A classical lysis cassette could not be identified Lacusarx, suggesting encoding endolysin, holin, spanin are host-specific found phages bacteria. The virus harbors 24 tRNA corresponding 18 different amino acids furthermore has significantly codon usage than host. Proteomic analysis protein components particle. lysogeny test indicated is temperate phage.
