摘要: Objective.  The objective of this study was to review the epigenetic modifications involved in transition from acute chronic pain and identify potential targets for development novel, individualized therapeutics. Background.  Epigenetics is heritable gene expression phenotype that do not require a change genetic sequence manifest their effects. Environmental toxins, medications, diet, psychological stresses can alter processes such as DNA methylation, histone acetylation, RNA interference. As potentially play an important role inflammatory cytokine metabolism, steroid responsiveness, opioid sensitivity, they are likely key factors pain. Although our knowledge human code disease-associated polymorphisms has grown significantly past decade, we have yet been able elucidate mechanisms lead persistent after nerve injury or surgery. Design.  This focused literature science its relationship pain. Results.  Significant laboratory clinical data support notion affected by environment differential expression. Similar cancer, neurodegenerative disease, disorders, endorses epigenetics pain. Conclusions.  Epigenetic analysis may critical injury, provide new pathways target future drug medicine.
