The Two n,π* Transitions of Monohalogenoanthraquinones

摘要: The n,π* absorption and phosphorescence spectra of 1-fluoro-, 2-fluoro, 1-chloro-, 2-chloro-, 1-bromo-, 2-bromoanthraquinones were studied in solutions, mainly at 77 K. These their lifetimes resemble those anthraquinone (AQ), except for 1-F-AQ. spectrum 1-F-AQ is longer wavelengths than that AQ, its lifetime 0.8 ms the methylcyclohexane solution, much shorter AQ. All 1-halogenoanthraquinones showed two distinct singlet-singlet bands K, 1-Br-AQ an additional band singlet-triplet transition 492 nm. low-energy singlet triplet states these compounds are discussed on basis experimental results.
