摘要: The majority of environmental pollutants are potential peroxisomal proliferators which include a heterogeneous group compounds known to determine massive proliferation and hepatocarcinogenesis in rodents. Peroxisomal is accompanied by the induction fatty acid β-oxidation pathway mediated class transcription factors named peroxisome activated receptors (PPARs). This phenomenon demonstrated also ectotherm animals after exposition may be utilized as biomarker impact studies. In present work we have tested sensitivity methyl thiophanate (TM) lizard Podarcis sicula order propose biological model for monitoring ecotoxicological effects this pesticide on terrestrial sentinel species. data obtained demonstrate that sub-lethal concentrations TM leads hepatocellular morphological changes glycogen depletion, apoptosis, well probable attested increase acyl-CoA oxidase (AOX). effect seems concomitant PPARα. On basis these results sicula, just proposed aquatic organisms, AOX considered new biomarkers evaluate pollution organic compound environments.
