Design and Demonstration of an Electronically Scanned Reflectarray Antenna at 100 GHz Using Multiresonant Cells Based on Liquid Crystals

摘要: The design, fabrication, and measured results are presented for a reconfigurable reflectarray antenna based on liquid crystals (LCs) which operates above 100 GHz. has been designed to provide beam scanning capabilities over wide angular range, large bandwidth, reduced side-lobe level (SLL). Measured radiation patterns in good agreement with simulations, show that the generates an electronically steerable one plane range of 55° frequency band from 96 104 GHz. SLL is lower than $-\mathbf{13}\;\mathbf{dB}$ all scan angles $-\mathbf{18}\;\mathbf{dB}$ obtained 16% range. performance significantly better previously published this class tunable antenna, moreover, verifies accuracy proposed procedure LC modeling design.
