摘要: Abstract The effects of pore-water velocity, solute hydrophobicity, and sorbent organic-carbon content on sorption nonequilibrium during transport were evaluated. Nonequilibrium was observed to increase with content. neutral organic compounds not detected low (TOC = 0.33 g kg−1) aquifer material, but higher sorbents from the unsaturated zone 2.6 soil surface 6.9 kg−1). For solute-sorbent combinations yielding retardation factors > 2, observed. After experimentally accounting for slow diffusion in aqueous phase isotherm nonlinearity as potential contributors transport, attributed within matrix.
