摘要: Abstract Background and purpose Circumventricular organs (CVOs) are a diverse group of specialised structures characterized by peculiar vascular position around the third fourth ventricles brain. In humans, these present during fetal period some become vestigial after birth. Some, such as pineal gland (PG), subcommissural organ (SCO) organum vasculosum lamina terminalis (OVLT), which located ventricle, might be site origin periventricular tumours. contrast to CVOs in adult rat can dissected laser capture microdissection (LCM). Methods this study, we used LCM microarrays analyse transcriptomes three CVOs, SCO, subfornical (SFO) PG ventricle ependyma rat, order better characterise at molecular level. Furthermore, an immunohistochemical study Claudin-3 (CLDN3), membrane protein involved forming cellular tight junctions, was performed level SCO. Results This highlighted potentially new or already described specific markers Erbb2 Col11a1 ependyma, Epcam CLDN3 Ren1 Slc22a3 SFO Tph, Anat Asmt PG. Moreover, found that expression restricted apical pole ependymocytes
