摘要: C-type lectins (CTLs) represent a large family of proteins that can bind carbohydrate moieties normally in calcium-dependent manner. CTLs play important roles mediating cell adhesion and the recognition pathogens immune system. In present study, we have identified 23 CTL genes domestic silkworm Bombyx mori. CTL-domain (CTLDPs) are classified into three groups based on number carbohydrate-recognition domains (CRDs) domain architectures. These include twelve CTL-S (Single-CRD), six immulectins (Dual-CRD) five CTL-X (CRD with other domains). We studied their phylogenetic features, analyzed conserved residues, predicted tertiary structures, examined tissue expression profile inducibility. Through bioinformatics analysis, putatively ten secretory two cytoplasmic CTL-S; four immulectins; one secretory, transmembrane forms CTL-X. Most B. mori CTLDPs form monophyletic orthologs from Lepidoptera, Diptera, Coleoptera Hymenoptera species. Immulectins Manduca sexta evolved common ancestor perhaps due to gene duplication events genes. Homology modeling revealed overall structures analogous those humans variable loop region. CTLDP naive immune-stimulated tissues. The induction were related tissues microorganisms. Together, our identification, sequence comparison, homology analysis laid good foundation for further studies comparative genomics.
