摘要: A b s t r a c K e y w o d The study was conducted in three ecologica l zones, namely the Hadjer -Lamis and Lake Chad region East, Guera middle belt West Mayo Kebbi, South -West Sudanian zone of Chad. In total 925 local chickens, which 569 males 356 females were subjected to phenotypic characterization. Multicolored plumage is dominant (73.7%), within tawny feathers represent 16.0% followed by black or gray (13.4%) silver (12.4%). Monochrome individuals 26.3% number, with black/gray Hadjer-Lamis/Lake (49.5%) Kebbi (53.0%) dominance white (80.0%). More than half surveyed chickens had beak (57.4%) (52.2%) whitish (50.0%). orange color eyes more common red (12.9%) yellow (7.3%). White eggs (97.9%) over brown. has strongest rate brown (20%). All found white. Different types comb observed both Sahelian regions, against majority single (90%) differences between sexes. simple predominant all areas among This showed that 98.9% smooth plumage. frizzled type rare (1.1%). 'Naked neck' 'feathered shanks' phenotypes have not been Guera. Crested are present sites (22.6%). relatively high proportion crested encountered -Lamis/Lake (19%) as 10.9% 15% multiplicity reflects variability genetic resources provides basis for selection strategies sustainable development improvement
