摘要: Abstract Free, conservative vibrations of a hermetic can, simply supported at the base, are studied. The can is composed by circular cylindrical shell and two identical plates connected to its ends. artificial spring method, which an extension classical Rayleigh–Ritz used solve system using substructuring. studied empty filled with inviscid incompressible fluid. Fluid volume conservation applied. interaction between via fluid considered, exact expressions for velocity potential used. effect flexibility joints investigated. Results fluid-filled, closed rigid ends also obtained compared open-end shell.
