The coplanar resonator technique for determining the surface impedance of YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7-/spl delta// thin films

摘要: We describe how coplanar microwave resonators fabricated from patterned thin films of YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/(-/spl delta/) (YBCO) can he used to measure the ab-plane surface impedance Z/sub s/=R/sub s/+jX/sub s/ films, in particular absolute value and temperature dependence magnetic penetration depth /spl lambda/. The current distribution resonator is calculated by modelling as a network coupled transmission lines rectangular cross-sections; this then estimate lambda/(T) measurements different geometries onto same film. obtain values lambda/(0) range 150-220 nm. unloaded quality factors linear at 7.95 GHz are around 45000 15 K 6500 77 K. corresponding intrinsic R/sub be 23 mu//spl Omega/ 110 K, respectively. These comparable with those other high unpatterned YBCO reported literature. for best optimised appears insensitive effects patterning. >
