摘要: Objective Individuals with bipolar disorder (BD) usually report significant disability and psychosocial impairment. Both the nature causes associated this impairment are poorly understood. In particular, research examining impact of pharmacotherapy on different aspects functioning in patients is currently lacking. The aim study was to assess what extent psychotropic medications used during psychiatric hospitalization at discharge can predict clinical severity illness follow-up inpatients (BD). Methods Patients were 71 adult BD contacted average 31 months after who completed a telephone interview based Health Nation Outcome Scales (HoNOS). Results All subjects assessment between 5 75 months discharge. mean raw score for HoNOS-6 5.70 ± 5.37. Patients more severe behavior problems often had been prescribed atypical antipsychotics anticonvulsants history suicide attempts, anxiolytics less lithium discharge. Conclusions Having predicted reduced functioning, whereas prescription better follow-up.
