摘要: Although allergic sensitization of the respiratory tract induced by chemicals is not as common skin sensitization, it nevertheless an important occupational health issue. Respiratory allergy to chemicals, characterized typically rhinitis and asthma, associated with considerable morbidity related socioeconomic costs. Several experimental approaches have been proposed for prospective identification chemical allergens, but none these has yet validated formally. In absence a widely accepted method allergen identification, appropriate relevant explore their relationship skin-sensitizing chemicals. A series known cause immune-mediated in humans examined. The majority allergens tested were found elicit positive responses one or more standard tests used potential (guinea pig maximization test, Buehler test and/or local lymph node assay). We suggest that this observation might form basis potentially useful paradigm initial characterization respiratory-sensitizing Specifically, fail skin-sensitization methods also be regarded lacking inherent tract.
