摘要: Serum from a patient who had experienced several episodes of anaphylaxis after eating shrimp was used to monitor the isolation major allergen shrimp, which then tested with sera 10 other shrimp-reactive patients. The isolated fresh extract boiled by gel filtration and raw agarose electrophoresis. purity established crossed immunoelectrophoresis against rabbit guinea pig antisera; it gave only single peak in each case. native excluded on Sephadex G-200 but showed band at 38000d SDS-PAGE or without reduction. isoelectric point about 4.5. contained 4% carbohydrate 7 Tyr 9 Phe out 341 amino acid residues. Using RAST 11 allergic sera, correlation coefficient 0.98 whole cooked 0.66 extract. potent inhibitor both shrimp. A second, weaker 21000d chain size highly purified form.
