Direct enhancement of gonadotropin-stimulated ovarian estrogen biosynthesis by estrogen and clomiphene citrate.

摘要: The biosynthesis of ovarian aromatases and hence estrogen production are under the control gonadotropins, FSH LH. Using a primary culture rat granulosa cells, we now report that estrogens (diethylstilbestrol 17g-estradiol) augment stimulation aromatase activity by Moreover, clomiphene citrate, drug widely used to induce ovulation in anovulatory women, also enhances gonadotropin-stimulated activity.
