摘要: The effect of increasing age on the dose fentanyl or alfentanil required to produce same electroencephalographic (EEG) stage was studied in adult male patients. pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic components each patient's dose-response relationship were evaluated simultaneously. Frequent arterial blood samples drawn during after an infusion assayed by radioimmunoassay permitted determination profile. EEG analyzed power spectral analysis a parameter (spectral edge frequency) chosen quantitate narcotic-induced slowing. An inhibitory sigmoid Emax model related frequency narcotic serum concentrations. requirement decreased significantly with (a 50% decrease from 20 89). No age-related changes parameters found. Brain sensitivity (as determined changes) did age. Thus, elderly had explanation, using as measure drug effect.
