摘要: BACKGROUNDThe purpose of this study was to estimate survival and quality outcome assess factors associated with for patients out 5 15 years from their Fontan operation.METHODS AND RESULTSWe studied 352 who had the operation prior 1985. The overall 1-, 5-, 10-year 77%, 70%, 60%, respectively. following were significantly lower survival: univentricular heart or complex congenital anomalies other than tricuspid atresia, early calendar year operation, heterotaxia syndromes, age at increased pulmonary artery pressure, atrioventricular valve dysfunction, higher (worse) New York Heart Association class. Reoperations necessary 103 patients. At least 20% survivors have cardiac arrhythmias requiring antiarrhythmic medication mechanical pacemaker insertion.
