Societal Heavy Drinking and Suicide Mortality among Russian Youth

摘要: Research has found an aggregate association between heavy drinking and suicide rates in general, Russia specifically. Alcohol is one of the most serious drug problems facing Russian youth, yet alcohol-suicide not been tested for this population. Aggregate mortality data regions (n = 78) year 2000 were used to measure youth (age 10–19) suicides a proxy societal drinking. We employed negative binomial estimator test drinking-youth hypothesis, controlling other structural factors thought influence rates.
