摘要: A numerical investigation is conducted to analyze the flow-field and heat transfer characteristics in a rectangular passage of width-to-height ratio 6:1 with detached ribs on one wall, where constant wall temperature condition applied. The effect detached-rib geometry coefficient, friction factor, thermal enhancement factor investigated covering range detached-clearance ratios (c/a) 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, Reynolds number based channel hydraulic diameter ranges from 8000 24,000. results show that flow-field, pattern, local Nusselt distribution, average number, are strongly dependent ratios. (TEF) under same pumping power constraint calculated order examine overall ratio. For present investigated, maximum TEF 1.22 achieved by use c/a 0.1 at 8000. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
