Disability and Work: Empirical Evidence from Italy

摘要: This essay is an empirical study of the working conditions people with disability using Italian microdata collected through a survey carried out by ISTAT in 2004. Our analysis guided theoretical framework capability approach, allowing us to consider various conversion factors including those associated different types for explaining work. results are also relevant from policy point view, as they focus on country (Italy) which considered flagship model international context given its specific legislation favour job placement disabled people. We find that impact according type disability. Among other personal and environmental characteristics, age, gender, education place residence significant determinants being labour force.
