摘要: Emulsion-templated porous polymers (PolyHIPEs) based on polystyrene have been prepared and used for in vitro 3D cell culture of osteoblastic cells. It has found that the method employed to prepare emulsion precursor, namely aqueous phase addition, a significant influence homogeneity morphology material produced as well reproducibility preparation. Addition controlled manner by means syringe pump narrower void size distribution range than addition from dropping funnel, emulsions were obtained reproducible manner. Analysis materials revealed consistency average interconnect diameter, within certain limits. The subsequently sectioned into thin membranes which then mounted base commercially available tissue plastic inserts. Cell experiments using MG63 osteoblast-like cells indicated capable supporting growth periods up 35 days, producing complex arrangements interacting with one another scaffold. functionality grown these materials, viability assays production biomarkers (alkaline phosphatase osteocalcin), was be enhanced compared 2D substrates. We conclude environment is more conducive existing plastic.
